nVillain Ch 94. Ironic Coincidence

nMac let out a long breath of annoyance at the mage. “You know, because of that weird name, I thought you were a troll. A horny, unstable teenager who likes to swear whenever he wants it,” he nagged.

nThe mage, INeedAHotGF, shrugged nonchalantly. “Hey, my nickname is better than the one you just saved earlier. That SuckMyDuck guy,” he complained. He smiled smugly and folded his arms across his chest. “After all, desperate times require desperate measures.”

nArrow_Master, one of Mac’s team archers, couldn’t help but interject with a joke. “You mean a desperate guy will do a desperate thing?” he quipped.

nINeedAHotGF snapped his fingers and pointed at him. “That also counts,” he said confidently, a hint of amusement in his tone.

nThe group laughed.

nLord*Hunter, the second archer of the group, spoke up. “Since we’re all a bunch of desperate singles, how about we meet up sometime? We’re in the same city after all,” he suggested.

nMac nodded in agreement. “I agree. Indeed, it’s a bit fast, but I think it would be a great start for us,” he said, nodding in agreement. “But just for the record, I’m not a desperate single,” he added with a grin.

nThe other boys turned to him, curious. “So, you have a girlfriend?” Gil asked.

n“I’m single, but I’m not desperate. Not yet at least,” Mac replied, hoping to lighten the mood for Yora.

nMac turned to Yora with a warm smile. “Do you agree? We can meet up at a coffee shop or even go to a VR game caf?? together. Or if you have a place you’re familiar with, we can meet there,” he said, trying to make her feel comfortable. Mac was quick to consider Yora’s feelings about being the only woman in the group.

nYora smiled back at him.”Just tell me when, and I’ll make sure to find a great spot for us to hang out. But I should let you know that I’m a little allergic to smoke, and I can’t drink alcohol. So, I’ll find a place that avoids all of that. I hope you don’t mind,” she added, looking apologetic.

nThe boys assured her that they didn’t mind at all. “We don’t mind,” said Lord*Hunter.

nGil chimed in. “But, if I may suggest, how about we meet up at the VR game caf??? I want to bring a new guy and introduce him to you guys. Who knows, he might even become our new member,” he said, his eyes twinkling mischievously. Of course, who he meant was Allen.

n***

nAt Cursed Crypts, Allen and the others appeared at the gates. Just like usual Thera greeted them and an announcement appeared in front of them.

nCongratulations! You have successfully completed the event!

nYou have killed 134 players

nYou got EXP and 1300 Coins!

nLevel up! Level up! Level up! .

nYou have reached level 40!

n“Wow!” Vivian and the girls said in excitement. She had to admit, this event was very enjoyable. Besides being able to boost their level up, they enjoyed the thrill so much.

nHowever, amidst the girls’ exuberant cries, Allen remained curiously silent. Vivian turned to him, ready to share in the excitement with him, but her elation turned to unease as she caught a glimpse of an evil smirk creeping across his face. His excitement was palpable, but it was mingled with something far more sinister. It was as if a dark force had taken root within him, awoken by the thrill of the game.

nVivian’s spine tingled with a sense of foreboding as she looked at Allen’s cold, piercing stare. She couldn’t put her finger on what had happened to him, but she was certain that he had tapped into something that had unleashed the darkness within him.

n‘I wonder if he is more suitable for a hero role than a villain role?’ Vivian thought of that before. But when she saw Allen’s current state, she knew she was wrong. Despite being a good man, there was a darkness that simmered within him, something that he kept hidden from everyone except his opponents. It was a brutal, merciless side of him that was definitely not that of a hero.

nAs the others observed Allen’s behavior, they too realized that something was amiss. They saw the spark in his eye and knew that he was in his devil emperor mode. It was a frightening sight to behold.

nFinally, Bella decided to speak up. “You seem happy, Allen. Did something happen?” she asked, hoping to shed some light on his strange behavior.

nAllen’s response was immediate, and it sent a chill down Vivian’s spine. “That swordsman — I met him again. But I didn’t manage to kill him. The time was up,” he said, his voice laced with a mix of excitement and frustration.

nBella and Vivian exchanged a brief glance before turning their attention back to Allen, trying to decipher the source of his excitement. Bella ventured a guess, “I don’t think that is the whole reason,” she said, her voice laced with curiosity. “At least, that wasn’t the expression you had yesterday.”

nAllen turned to face Bella, his expression clear and unguarded. “It’s not just that,” he admitted, his tone tinged with amusement. “The real reason was, when the other players saw me, they ran away in fear. But that swordsman, he led his team to attack me, even preparing a plan to trap me. Can you believe it?”

nZoe looked at him, her curiosity piqued. “But you managed to kill them, right?” she asked, eager to hear more about the battle.

n“I did,” Allen confirmed, a sense of pride evident in his voice. “But I have to admit, their plan was clever. They succeeded in cornering me, and I was forced to use my fly skill to escape from their attack range.”

nVivian shook her head in disbelief. “His plan was that smooth? But this was a sudden event, and it’s still early in the game,” she said, her mind reeling at the thought of such a well-executed strategy.

n
