nAlice snorted at the lonely Locke for a last time before running over to greet her fourth brother.
n“Ignore them, just follow me…”Jacques was in charge of Locke’s affairs, and as such, he gestured for Locke to follow him.
nLocke only found out while talking along the way.
nThey were in the exclusive area of the Diamond Class.
nOther than the teaching and training grounds, there were hospitals, entertainment and lifestyle shops, restaurants, and many other facilities!
n‘As expected! Beastmasters are the best profession in this world!’
nSince there were not many students in the Diamond Class, they had plenty of real estate to enjoy themselves with.
nThere was just one issue…
nLocke did not expect to be given that huge of a real estate!
nAfter several twists and turns, Jacques had brought Locke to a small house at the edge of the area.
nUpon entering the house, Locke noticed that it was filled with plenty of high-end decorations and exquisite daily necessities. It was much to his liking.
nIn a sense, it contained everything that he needed.
n“This small house is close to 200 square meters in area. I believe that it’s more than enough for you…” With that, Jacques then grabbed a seat on the sofa and lit a cigarette. “Tough luck, son… This is the worst house in the diamond area, but there’s nothing we can do about it. The good ones have all been reserved by the nobles. You’d just have make do with it…”
n‘Make do with it?’ Locke mentally exclaimed as he looked at the top-grade Daemon meat in the fridge, as well as the high-end beverages and ice creams. He was already very satisfied with his house!
n‘What else can they even provide?’
nLocke was not at fault, however.
nBe it in his life before or after his transmigration, he was a child of an ordinary family.
nIt was only until the System’s appearance did Locke’s fate began to change. As such, he was oblivious to the lives of the nobles and how they enjoyed themselves.
nRegardless, Locke brushed it off quickly. He took two ice creams and walked to the sofa.
n“Here, one for you.”
n“Thank you.” Jacques was fond of Locke. Compared to the children of the nobles, Locke was neither pretentious nor stuck up.
n‘He’s a good kid!’
n“Oh right, there are some things that I should inform you of…”Jacques put out his cigarette, tore apart the ice cream’s wrapper, and said, “Alice is the youngest child of the White family. She has been doted on since she was young. She has all the habits of a noble and she’s used to being overbearing. To be honest, I don’t like her either…”
n“However, you shouldn’t provoke her. After all, her fourth brother is currently studying in the Diamond Area of the Academy, and he has many lackeys under his wing. You should know where I’m going with this, right…”
n“Most importantly, the Silver District of the academy is completely funded by the White Family. As a result, even the higher-ups would need to kowtow to the White Family kids…”
n“Darn… the entire Silver District? They really are filthy rich…”Locke sounded envious, but in reality, his face was full of disdain.
nSince the academy was an educational institution, they should treat students equally. If they were to allow others to get what they wanted just because of a few donations…
nWhat was the difference between them and a chamber of Commerce?
n“Alright! I believe that you wouldn’t mention this to anyone. So, for now, just take a good rest and understand the structure of the academy. You have a copy of the map in your room. Class starts at 8.30 tomorrow morning. Don’t be late.”
nWith that, Jacque stood up to leave.
n“Instructor, will you be teaching me in the future?”
n“Hahaha! You think too highly of me. At my level of strength, I can only teach the students of the Silver Class at most.”
nLocke felt that this Jacque’s strength was around Trista’s.
nHe probably had a Stage 4 Battle Beast as well.
nIf he was only qualified to teach the Silver Class with that level of strength, Locke shuddered at the thought of the Diamond Class instructors’ strength.
nAt the same time, in Alice’s two-story luxury mansion.
nLooking at the students who were sweating profusely as they moved around Alice’s luggage…
nAdrian was at ease. In his opinion, they were nothing more than dogs trying to climb up the social ladder.
nHad Adrian not taken them under his wing, they might end up hating him instead.
nMeanwhile, Alice described her experience in the assessment in full detail.
nAfter learning about Locke’s strength, Adrian said with a mocking smile, “Hehe… So, he’s only beaten a lowly Level 6, Stage 2 Netherfiend Tiger? That’s not a big deal.”
nHowever, his tone suddenly took a sharp turn. “But! How dare he steal a White Family member’s limelight and make my sister unhappy! This is an unforgiveable act!”
nNoticing that her brother was willing to stand up for her, Alice exaggerated the details, and it made Adrian even more furious.
nSLAM!
nHe slammed the table and roared, “All of you! Get your *sses over here!”
nAs if they had heard an imperial edict, the lackeys quickly stopped what they were doing and rushed to Adrian’s side like dogs.
n“If I remember correctly, all of your Battle Beasts should be at Level 8, Stage 2, right?”
nThe four of them nodded repeatedly.
n“Alright! In that case, I’ll have to trouble all of you to go and a certain little junior tonight. Let him know that some people are not to be trifled with. Let him know that his survival depends on these people’s whims…”
nAdrian’s words were laced with indescribable arrogance.
nHowever, the White Family had the right to be that arrogant!
nAlthough they were not top nobles, they still had considerable influence in many regions.
nFurthermore, the fourth son of the family, Adrian, was one of the undisputed tyrants in the academy.
nAs such, this was not his first time carrying out “orientation” on newcomers. Upon hearing those words, a smirk immediately appeared on the lackeys’ faces.
nBy evening, Locke had already memorized the structure of the academy. With that settled, he then opened the wardrobe and changed into a brand new uniform.
nLooking at his slender figure in the mirror, he was very satisfied.
n‘Top-tier universities are really a cut above the rest!’
nNot only was the uniform stylish, even the materials used were top-notch!
nJust the pants alone was already made from the leather of a Stage 3 Daemon, the Flying Snow Leopard.
nIt was a material that was warm in winter and cool in summer.
nHe decided to go to a restaurant in the Gold District for dinner.
nHe heard that the chef there was a master in preparing Daemon meat dishes.
nAlthough the price was on the pricier end, Locke was no longer poor, and as such, he was allowed to splurge on an expensive meal every occasionally.
nIn less than ten minutes, Locke had reached the restaurant.
nThe moment he entered, he caused an uproar.
nEveryone present was from the Gold Class.
nIt was obvious from their gold-accented uniforms.
nIn contrast, Locke’s uniform was accented with shiny silver, and it was indicative of his identity.
n“Wow! He’s from the Diamond District!”
n“That outfit is so cool, and he’s not bad looking too…”
n“Why are you just sitting there? Hurry up and treat him to a meal! If you manage to curry favor with him, your future will be secured…”
nThe people from the Gold Class looked at Locke enviously and started to gossip.
n“Sir! It’s my honor to serve you!” When he heard that someone from the Diamond Class had come over, the head chef who was busy in the kitchen immediately ran out to greet him.
n
