213 Opening

Clank! Clank! Clank!

The sound of iron colliding could be heard, while the workers were busy installing the rail rods onto the prepared train tracks. Not far from their location, two important people seem to be busy chatting.

They are Oswald and Viktor.

“Thank you for your hard work, Mister Viktor.”

“Hahaha, I don’t mind. After all, I’m not the one working, isn’t that right, Metal Guardian?” Viktor looked back and saw Barry, who was wearing metal armor, nodding.

Even though it was Viktor who racked up blood, sweat, and tears for a whole month; he had to toss the credit to Barry. After all, identity secrecy was number one priority.

But, it all did not matter to Viktor. All his obligations were done, it was time for him to go home.

After making small talk with Oswald, Viktor shook hands and quickly left the project site.

Along the way Viktor chatted with Barry, discussing his plans for when the club was ready to open. Meanwhile, Barry listened to his employer’s story with an excited expression.

Their conversation ended when the two arrived at Perm City. They didn’t stop by anywhere else and headed straight for the club.

When it arrived, the club was 100% ready. There are no longer any construction workers who are seen pacing around fixing the interior. There are no more empty sections. Everything is really done. Inside there was no bustle, it was quiet just like a closed club.

“Victor—!”

Jessie was seen getting up from the sofa near the dance floor. Liza and Eva who were enjoying juice next to Jessie turned to Viktor. Their faces turned into smiles when the owner came.

“So you guys were busy relaxing while I was gone,” Viktor said jokingly.

“Hoo~ of course,” Jessie replied.

Viktor gave a broad smile, then joined them. Meanwhile Barry went behind to take off his armor.

“Come here, sit down dear.” Eva patted the empty sofa next to her. When Viktor sat down, Eva immediately massaged him, and Liza did the same.

“You look tired,” Liza said innocently. Viktor smiled and stroked his head.

Not long after, Viez, dressed as a bartender, came with four drinks.

“Oh, boss. You’re finally home. Would you like some cocktails too?” Viez asked while she lowered her drink.

Viktor had been wandering in the woods for too long and wanted to relax. So he asked Viez to make him a Black Velvet Cocktail. The bartender candidate immediately returned to the bartender’s table in the corner of the room and quickly returned with a wine glass filled with black liquid.

Then various questions began to come out of the mouths of the three women beside him. Like Liza who asked what the shape of the train was like and Eva who asked if Viktor got enough food. But the one who asked the most questions was still Jessie.

Jessie didn’t just ask, she also said some words that managed to make Viktor snort in laughter.

“Monster hunting is over and project business is done. So, are you going out again tomorrow?” Jessie asked.

Viktor took a sip of Black Velvet and placed it on the table. “Of course not. In three days there is an important event.”

Eva and Liza looked very concerned, while Jessie narrowed her eyes. They are curious.

“A great party!”

The night sky was dark, but the moon was shining brightly. Under the pouring moonlight, a building painted ruby red was a crowd that stretched like snakes. At the door of the building, Boris and Torri were seen checking one by one the people who were entering.

Tonight is the Romanovs Club’s opening party.

Inside the club was dim, only blue light shone. However, people in unique clothes dance slowly to the relaxing EDM music. The waiters seemed to be pacing amidst the sea of people, offering each guest a glass of cocktail.

The bar table in the corner of the room seemed to be surrounded by people. Viez served the guests one by one. On each side of the room the guest table was filled with male guests flanked by many women. Among them were Mayor Benjamin and Mister Oswald.

Everything was calm and relaxed. Suddenly the lights went out. After five seconds, the white light from the lamp illuminated the entire room. Then on stage, a man in a black suit appeared with a synthetic rose in his pocket.

Who else if not the owner of the club, Viktor Romanov. All attention then turned to him.

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. In the past, our life was very peaceful. We can go anywhere and do whatever we want. But after the mysterious events two years ago, everything changed.”

The atmosphere changed. People began to pay close attention to Viktor.

“Everything was so difficult. All electronic devices stopped working. Our government was destroyed, and food became as valuable as gold.” Viktor’s expression turned sad. “Not only that. every day we have to endure the terror of monster attacks.”

Viktor was silent. Silence for a while. Everyone in the room looked serious.

“But tonight is the exception.” Viktor looked around. “It’s time we can feel the pleasure like before. It’s time for us to smile and forget all the terror that is happening right now.”

People started nodding in agreement. They need healing.

“Therefore, I, Viktor Romanov, will help you to unburden yourself. Tonight will be a special night! You can have fun to your heart’s content! From this second onward, let us start the party!”

The lights went out, the EDM music played fast and full of energy. Instantly the people in the hall danced to the music, followed by screams. Smoke from dry ice filled the room. Dozens of lights of various colors changed every second, and rainbow lights poured down the entire room.

Lively, full of energy and passion. That’s the current atmosphere.

Viktor smiled watching it all from the second floor. He not only witnessed a party, but his kingdom.

“This is just the beginning.”

Viktor still has one more to build. But there’s no need to rush. He still has plenty of time. For now, he planned to pause for a moment. After his hard struggle over the past few months, he deserved a break.

However, expectations always ran contrary to reality

In the midst of loud music and party excitement, Viktor saw a very suspicious group of people. They wore black robes with hoods, sneaking around among the dancing people.

Immediately Viktor’s smile disappeared.

“Who are they? Why would Boris and Torri would let them in…”

Viktor’s hunch turned bad. Suddenly one of them looked up. His face was covered in shadow, but Viktor was sure the person was staring at him. Then, the hood on that person’s head opened, showing the visage of a familiar woman, she’s the fierce Templars girl from the Vatican

“Elena!?”
