nZhao Ying looked at Gu Jin and quickly said, “I’ll stay but Gu Jin will go. We’ll be embarrassed if we just sit and do nothing.”

nGu Jin agreed.

n

n

n“I may look pale but I’m quite strong. I used to go to the gym every day.”

nLi Ran thought about it but did not change her mind.

n“You should stay to protect the two of them.”

n“There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Just stay here,” added Yang Shao. Then, he walked forward without a care.

n

n

nLi Ran shrugged. She smiled at Gu Jin and said, “Don’t worry about it. We need to keep each other safe. We’ll go in and have a look first.”

nIn the end, Gu Jin complied. He turned around and got into the car. After closing the door, he pressed on the lock.

nHe absent-mindedly looked at the willow trees.

n“It’s rare to see such lush and green trees.”

n

n

nZhao Ying heard what he said and smiled helplessly.

n“It’s quite secluded here. There’s nothing much to see. Shall we rest for a while?”

n“Okay, let’s get some sleep.”

nGu Jin made himself comfortable and closed his eyes.

nZhao Ying covered Gu Zhao with a coat. Then, she leaned against the window and closed her eyes as well.

nThey needed all the energy they could spare and be ready for whatever was to come.

n

n

n…

nWang Gang took the lead. Li Ran was in the middle and Yang Shao followed from behind. They maintained their formation and walked through the door.

nSince it was the back door, they ended up in the storage room. The room was quite big. There were rows and rows of shelves, but all of them were empty.

nThey looked around the place.

nThere were a few shelves that had fallen in the middle and a couple of zombies were lying on them. All of the zombies had been shot in the head. Either that or their necks had been cut off. The zombies’ bodies were in eerie postures.

nThe three of them quickly left the storage room and entered the supermarket.

nMore shelves could be seen in multiple aisles. It was easy for anyone to reach the lower part of the shelves but for the higher parts, one may need a ladder.

nIt was a clothing area. Except for a few items that were extremely dirty to a point of unusable, everything else was gone.

n

n

nUpon looking at the scene, Wang Gang pinched his nose and said helplessly, “Those people are really greedy. They took everything. I can’t even get a new set of clothes. Sigh, it seemed that what we could find would depend on fate.”

nYang Shao chuckled.

n“With your body, even if fate was generous, you won’t be able to fit in the clothes. Your best bet is to custom-make them yourself.”

n“Get lost!”

nWang Gang came up to Yang Shao and kicked him a few times.

nLi Ran pretended not to see anything and continued to scout the place. She looked around attentively. The place was very big and it was easy to lose focus.

nThey continued to walk along the edge of the supermarket. There were big and small shelves everywhere. It was hard to see what was on them from a distance.

nThen, they noticed that some of the doors were open while others were tightly shut. It was to prevent people from gaining access. However, if they did not open the doors, they would not know what was inside.

nThe doors lead to washrooms and warehouses. Most of the warehouses were similar to the one that they had been to earlier.

nAdditionally, there was a delivery area. The delivery service of this supermarket has always been superb. They covered the entire district.

nHowever, there was no point in reminiscing about the past.

nLi Ran tried to open one of the doors but it was tightly locked. Her eyes began to shine with excitement.

nWang Gang also noticed the particular door. He speedily walked over and asked with a smile, “Do you know how to pick locks? Is there anything that we could use?”
