nLi Ran immediately took out the pistol from her waist bag.
n“Will this work?”
n
n
nWang Gang chuckled and said, “It’s good to be simple and crude.”
nYang Shao came over and interrupted their conversation, “Is your gun a silencer type?”
n“No.”
nLi Ran lowered her head and looked at the keyhole. It was beyond recognition. There were already a few bullet holes in it. However, the door was still sealed. A gun would obviously not work.
n
n
nJust as she was trying to figure out another way, Yang Shao suddenly pulled her to the side.
n“Put the gun away. I have experience with picking locks.”
nYang Shao inserted a small metal pin into the keyhole and began moving it around. After a slight vibration, the door clicked and opened.
nWang Gang was dumbfounded.
n
n
n“You have superpowers?”
n“No. I was just picking a lock.”
nYang Shao kept the metal pin and slightly pushed the door. He was signaling Wang Gang to enter first.
nHowever, Wang Gang stood still and did not move an inch. He was angry.
n“If you can pick locks, why didn’t you say so earlier? All the while, you made me open locked doors even though I had a lot of trouble with them. Are you just showing off in front of a beautiful woman?”
nYang Shao’s gaze fell on Li Ran. She was indeed a beauty. Everyone was covered in dirt, but she was still fair and clean.
n
n
n“You were always so focused and serious, so I didn’t want to interrupt you,” saidYang Shao in a cheeky tone.
nHe really deserved a beating,
nWang Gang’s hands were itching.
nHe gave him a solid punch in the chest.
nYang Shao immediately bent down and groaned in pain.
n“F*ck! Did you really just hit me? Why don’t you save your strength to kill zombies?”
nWang Gang gave him another kick before opening the door. He peeped into the room and looked around. It seemed that there was no danger, so he walked in.
n“We’ve hit the jackpot, my friends. I don’t think anyone has been here before.”
n
n
nWang Gang could barely hide his excitement.
nLi Ran looked at the thick door and then at Yang Shao. She asked curiously, “Is it easy to pick locks? Can you open other doors?”
nYang Shao replied, “Not all, but I can open most of them. Different locks have different requirements.”
n“I see.”
nLi Ran had learned a lot. She did not know that lockpicking would come in so useful.
nThe two of them entered the room. There was a strong musty smell because the ventilations were turned off.
nLi Ran rushed out as soon as she entered the room. She almost vomited and lost her courage to re-enter.
nYang Shao was pinching his nose. He followed Li Ran and asked in a concerned tone, “Are you alright? Why don’t you just wait outside? We’ll handle the heavy lifting.”
nMeanwhile, Wang Gang opened a box. There were bottles of mineral water in it. He brought the box out with a great deal of effort since it was quite heavy.
n“These things are literally treasures.”
nWang Gang’s smile was so wide that it almost reached the back of his head. He looked at Li Ran and comforted her, “Li Ran, you should rest here for a while. This place is also full of rotten fruits and yogurt. The stench is strong. I’ll go in by myself.”
nAs soon as he said that, he entered the room again.
nYang Shao was already used to it. Wang Gang would be thrilled whenever they found supplies.
n
n
nThe more things there were, the more excited he would be.
nHe looked around to see if there were any carts that they could use to transport the supplies.
nUnfortunately, there was none nearby so he had to go search for them. Before he left, he opened a bottle of water for Li Ran and told her to get some rest.
nLi Ran took his advice but after a short while, she began to organize the things that Wang Gang had brought out. There were five boxes of mineral water, two boxes of iced black tea, two boxes of coke, and ten barrels of tap water.
n
