nCain’s gentle tone suddenly sounded firm. “No! You have to eat meat first before you can eat fruit!”
nSu Tang looked at Cain indignantly. She softly spoke as though she was somewhat whining, “The roast meat tastes bland, so I want to eat fruit!”
nCain sensed his throat go dry when he saw Su Tang act this way.
nHe was incapable of coming down hard on her when she looked at him with her limpid eyes.
nHe said powerlessly, “Then you have to eat more meat tonight!”
nSu Tang hurriedly nodded when Cain gave in.
nShe narrowed her eyes in bliss as she munched on the fruit.
nThe fruit resembled an apple but tasted like a pear. The texture of its flesh was smooth, crunchy, and juicy. It tasted particularly sweet and refreshing!
nHowever, the fruit was huge and was as large as two of Su Tang’s fists.
nAfter she finished one, she was incapable of going on!
nShe wiped her mouth sadly as she wondered what the fruit was. It certainly tasted great!
nBEEP! Would you like to use 10 points to activate scanning mode?
nBEEP! You have insufficient points. Scanning failed!
nSu Tang glanced at Cain before she finally felt relieved that she was genuinely the only person who could see the glowing blue screen.
nHowever, she promptly sighed…
nSu Tang was such a pauper!
nShe considered her situation and recalled a saying from the year 2222.
nShe was having such a hard time!
nCain felt perplexed. The female was so happy when she ate the red fruit. Why did she suddenly look sad?
nBefore Cain wrapped his mind around it, Yuanyuan hurried back shortly after she left.
n“Chief, Meng Ze woke up! Tangtang, can you go examine him now?”
nYuanyuan was so anxious that her eyes became red. If Cain were not in the cave, she would have placed Su Tang over her shoulder and carried her to Meng Ze.
nSu Tang finally recalled she saved a beastman before she passed out!
n“Is Meng Ze the beastman I helped earlier? Is he awake? How’s he doing? Bring me over now!”
nSince she was a doctor, she instinctively wanted to take care of the patient.
nBefore Su Tang’s feet even touched the ground, Cain carried her up by the waist and placed her back on the stone bed.
nShe looked stunned and stared at Cain in bewilderment.
nDespite his stiff tone, it was clear that he was worried about her. “You’re hurt, so you can’t go over!”
nSu Tang finally realized that Cain was talking about her fainting earlier.
nIt instantly made her feel warm in her heart.
nThe tiger was kind to show concern for her even though they were complete strangers.
nSu Tang was unaware of the thoughts Cain harbored for her. Instead, her impression of Cain improved a lot.
nHowever, the beastman whom she had just stitched up was of a top priority now.
nIt was the first time she performed such a procedure on her own, let alone in such subpar conditions. She was worried that any complications might arise, so she had to examine him now!
nShe patted Cain’s arm around her waist, “I’m fine. I was too tired earlier, but I’m all good after some rest!”
nCain was somewhat skeptical.
nSu Tang passed out without warning earlier. He could still recall how terrified he felt now that he thought about it!
nYuanyuan was on the brink of tears when Cain refused to let Su Tang leave.
n“Chief, please let her check Meng Ze now! Old Nick said Meng Ze feels warm, but the healer might know what to do!”
nSu Tang was startled to hear this!
n“Is he having a fever? Oh no. He must be suffering from an infection. Take me to him now! Otherwise, it might be too late!”
n
