nYe Sang shook her head and tried to stay awake, looking around at the empty classroom.
nThe little thing cupped her face and curiously looked at the only other person who didn’t leave — Shen Yan’an. She asked milkily, “Brodda, aren’t you going home?”
nShen Yan’an heard her mispronounced ‘brother’ and ignored her.
nThe little thing swayed her legs and continued talking to herself crisply, “Sangsang’s not going home either.”
n“Brodda finishes school very late.” She laid her soft face on the table and sounded naive and innocent, as children of her age should be.
n“Brother?” He looked down and looked like he was sneering.
nSo…
nShe was waiting for her brother.
nThe little thing nodded and sway her legs more, showing her dimples sweetly while lying on the table, “Brodda looks so nice when you smile.”
nShe jumped down from her chair and her clumsiness made Shen Yan’an watch anxiously.
nWho knows when this idiot might fall down?
nThe little thing steadied herself with difficulty and took out a lollipop from her bag, passing it to him. Under the little boy’s cold glance, she tiptoed and leaned in.
nShen Yan’an eyes became colder and in this instant, he almost thought that the little thing was trying to do something bad.
nHe always liked to think of people in a bad way.
nHe even thought that no one here would like him other than Ms. Xu.
nAfter all…
nWho would like a freak?
nThe little thing tiptoed and her eyes smiled as she whispered into his ear, “I’ll give it to you. It won’t hurt anymore…”
nHer grandpa used to tell her that every child was a surprise present that gods sent down to the human world.
nThe little thing pondered for a while and gave him a soft hug under Yan’an’s shocked gaze, “I really like brodda…”
nThe girl smelled nicely like milk, her light breathing on his ears felt like feathers lightly brushing across his ears.
nIt felt rather ticklish.
nThe little boy was hugged like this for the first time in his life and his breathing paused. He uncontrollably took a step back and his ears became red, confusion and helplessness flashed across his pretty eyes.
nThe little thing let go after a second before Shen Yan’an could react.
nShe quickly backed off and looked outside the window, waving her short arms and informed him crisply, “Brodda, it’s raining.”
nThe little thing bit her lips as she watched the rain pour down outside, clenching her dress, “My brodda said he’ll come and pick me up…”
nShen Yan’an watched Ye Sang quietly, the eyes hidden beneath his fringe were beautiful.
nHe asked calmly, “Are you going to look for him?”
nThe little thing nodded and watched the pouring rain. She blinked her cat eyes and secretly prepared herself mentally.
nThen, she grabbed her bag tightly and was ready to run into the rain.
nShen Yan’an looked up and immediately saw through her plan.
nJust as the little thing was about to leave the classroom, the quiet boy spoke up softly.
n“Wait—”
nYe Sang stopped in her tracks and blinked in confusion, “Huh?”
nYan’an spoke expressionlessly, “Come here.”
nAnyone else would be mad if they heard his cold voice.
nHowever, Ye Sang didn’t feel upset at all. She even blinked and tilted her head to the side, mumbling to herself, “What is it?”
nYan’an ignored her question.
nThe boy grabbed the umbrella from the desk drawer without expression and forcefully shoved it into Ye Sang’s hands before looking down and ignoring her again.
