nYe Sang waved the transparent umbrella in her arms and tilted her head to the side, “What about brodda then?”
nIt was raining outside.
nThe little boy glanced at her, displaying no expressions on his delicate face,
n“I’ll wait here.”
nMeaning: come back and return it to me.
nHe didn’t plan to use the umbrella anyway; having one or not was the same to him.
nThe Shen family wasn’t a soft-hearted one.
nSame as that man.
nThe little thing pondered for a while but still couldn’t rest at ease. She pulled his sleeve and urged earnestly, “Brodda, don’t go running around.”
n“Sangsang will be back very soon.”
nThe little boy fixed his dark eyes on her, eventually agreeing in a soft voice.
nYan’an didn’t want to talk to this silly little girl at first.
nBut he realized that if he ignored her, the girl would nag him forever.
nFinally, Ye Sang left whilst looking back at every step.
nThe way that she looked felt like they were parting from death or something.
n*
nYan’an watched the little girl running into the curtains of rain clumsily in silence for a while.
nHe blinked and for the first time in his life, he understood what people meant when they felt jealous.
nHe wondered, who’s the brother this little girl had to give up on everything to go look for?
nBut as he thought about it, one thing was for certain; someone who could be with the little girl definitely wouldn’t be as dark as him.
nThe boy sneered and hid all the bitterness in his eyes.
nHe thought he was going crazy.
nHe was jealous of a stranger because of a little girl.
nShen Yan’an looked down at the lollipop in his hands. He unwrapped it and put it in his mouth, and the sweetness of strawberries immediately burst on his tongue.
nThe boy picked up his bag from the floor and walked into the curtains of rain.
nSo…
nThis is what it tasted like. Candies that all children liked.
n*
nThe little thing went around in circles in the sports field downstairs with her thoughts wandering as she stressed about returning the umbrella back to Yan’an.
nShe was naturally born without a sense of direction.
nShe had the puppy to show her the way around before, but dogs weren’t allowed in the school and she couldn’t find her way out from the huge sports field after going around for a long time.
nThe little thing panicked as she circled around it.
nShe clenched the umbrella helplessly. She was standing in the rain with a transparent umbrella over her head and she was short, her confused look made her look like…
nAhem. A mushroom.
nYe Sang looked around her and tried to find someone to help her find the way.
n“Tsk, what kind of bloody weather is this?”
n“We didn’t get to have a sports class and now we are drench, how unfortunate.”
n“…” A boy and a girl’s voice came from a short distance from Ye Sang.
nThe little thing’s cat eyes lit up and just as she was going to run towards him, she heard their voices again in the rain.
n“When the teacher told me to pack up the sports equipment, he told Huo Chenyu to go with me.”
n“And guess what happened?” The boy lowered his voice and laughed mysteriously, making the other one curious.
n“What happened?” She quickly asked.
nThe boy sneered, “I locked him inside the equipment room. It’s so late, how about we let him spend the night there?”
nAs he spoke, he waved the key in hand, sounding extremely pleased with himself.
nYe Sang clenched the umbrella tightly. When she heard “I locked him inside the equipment room”, the strand of hair on top of her head immediately shot up in fury.
n
