Chapter 80

nHer soft feet padded the halls as she made her way to their bedroom with a cup of ice cream on her hand. The look of concern on her face was something Shen Yi hadn’t expected when she stepped inside the room.

n“What’s wrong?” The soft baritone voice of her husband made Lu Xinyi aware that she was standing on the same spot beside the door frame. “Isn’t that my ice cream?”

n“Nope, this is mine!” The troubled expression on her face was replaced with a pout. Madam Jin was able to buy ice cream for her next recipe but it was the wrong flavor. Lu Xinyi needed a vanilla ice cream but the old woman took cookies and cream flavored instead.

nShe closed the door behind her with her foot and sat at the edge of the bed.

n“I thought what is yours is mine. So that means that ice cream is mine.” Shen Yi turned off his phone before moving to snatch the ice cream cup with the spoon from his wife’s hands. His other arm sliding to her shoulders to pull her to a kiss but Lu Xinyi pushed him away from her.-.

n“Oh no, darling. What is yours is mine, what is mine is mine.” she corrected him.

nShen Yi sat on the bed and opened the ice cream cup, taking a spoonful of it.

n“Shen Yi, you rascal! Give me back my ice cream!” Lu Xinyi cried out when she saw her dessert being devoured by her husband. She tried to reach the cup but with Shen Yi’s longer arms he was able to keep out the ice cream for his wife.

n“Why do you always choose food over me? You even gave Xue my eclairs and cream puffs.” Shen Yi complained. Why was he always the one getting the shorter stick lately?

n“What do you mean?” Lu Xinyi was bewildered from his words. When did she choose food over him? She sat at his left leg and grimaced.

n“If I ask you right now, what will you choose? Ice cream or me?” Shen Yi teased her with a Cheshire cat grin on his lips.

n“Why do I have to choose when I can have both?” The words left Lu Xinyi’s mouth that she barely had time to stop herself. When she realized when she’d said and from the intense look Shen Yi was giving him right now, Lu Xinyi scolded herself.

n“Me and my big mouth,” she mumbled.

n“What else that mouth of yours can do?” Shen Yi laughed.

n“Complain.” Lu Xinyi winked back.

n“So did it hurt?”

nLu Xinyi knew it will come sooner or later and she was prepared for it.

n“Did what hurt?” If he says she’d fallen from heaven, she will strangle him to death. He better come up with a better pick up line.

n“When you fell from heaven.” She knew it.

n“But dear, I thought you knew I dug my way up from hell.” she pouted.

nLu Xinyi felt her back slam down to their bed, her husband towering above her. The forgotten ice cream cup fell on the floor with a thud. Man, how many times did he need to waste her ice cream? That’s the second time he’d done it. Poor, Mr. Ice Cream. It seemed that they weren’t meant to be.

n“Touche. You’re getting good at your comebacks, Xinyi.”

n“I learned from the best,” she whispered against his lips.

nHis lips easily found hers, his tongue plundered greedily into her warm cavern, his wife let him do as he pleased. Delicate fingers moved and wove to his thick hair, Lu Xinyi knowing exactly how to make her husband moan in pleasure. Shen Yi broke their kiss to look back at her.

n“I was jealous. You spent most of the day with my brother.” Shen Yi slightly panted and grinned, “Now can you please give all of your attention to me?”

nLu Xinyi chuckled back at him, her hands sliding onto his cheeks, her thumb giving him a sweet caress. “Silly. You’re always on my mind. You don’t have to be jealous.”

nHis grin turned into a smile, a smile that Lu Xinyi likes to see, that also makes her heart skip a beat. He stared down at her with hungry eyes. Her blue blouse had slowly come undone as they kissed, leaving her exposed chest heaving with her lips parted as she panted for air.

nLu Xinyi’s eyes glimmered with excitement as Shen Yi unbuttoned his own shirt, his chest and taut muscles revealed to her sight. His strong arms pulling the shirt and threw the material over his shoulders. Excitement shivered through her body as she watched her husband slowly advanced towards her.
