nOriginally, after fusing with Predator, Legolas became much more powerful but this time due to the incredible concentration that was brought due to his Overdrive state, he was able to make much more use of the fusion.

nOf all the 6 dangerous assassins that made up the 6 Ninja assassins, Buffalo was the strongest and he was also the closest to Legolas.

nDirectly behind Buffalo and his 2 beasts were the 2 other land assassins, Rhino on top his Rhino and Mammoth who was at the furthest back. On top the massive Mammoth, this assassin kept his Sniper Rifle aimed at their targets.

nWhile Blade defended against the attack barrage and while Mammoth waited to get the right angle to unleash his Sniper disaster, Legolas’s eyes gleamed.

n“Focus on the leader”. He ordered his student as his attack finally arrived.

nBam! Bam! Bam!

nWhile focusing on defense, Legolas put his full stakes on one gamble which was the Dark Arrow ability. Both the Disintegrate and Energy Drain at this moment were supplements, this was the only ranged ability that could make a difference.

nAt such close range, Buffalo could not dodge.

nThis middle-aged man could only let his beasts take the full brunt of the attack. To protect his life, the 2 massive Buffalos put themselves on the way.

nMore than 5 Dark Arrows slammed into the bodies of the 2 Buffalos.

nOrdinary arrows would do nothing, but for these, they were different. Apart from inflicting destructive dark energy inside their bodies, the disintegration ability triggered as both Buffalos felt like their body was being torn apart from the inside.

nThis was not all, the Energy Drain ability also took effect.

nThis ability did not just draw energy from the Buffalos, it also drew Summoner Energy from their master, Buffalo himself. These well-coordinated attacks for a brief moment put Buffalo off his balance.

nThis was exactly what Legolas sought for, he exploded forward with speed.

nLegolas did not just explode forward with speed, he calculated rapidly. Despite his overdrive state, despite freeing his student, they were still outnumbered, it would require genius displays of power for them to escape.

nAt this moment, his still kept trace of the 4 birds of prey that patrolled the skies. Apart from them, his eyes stayed mostly focused on Mammoth.

nAnother Sniper shot from this assassin had the potential of taking him out.

nMammoth was one of the fulcrums responsible for deciding this battle.

nThis was why he sprinted forward in a way where the 2 gigantic Buffalos that were before him shielded him from direct shot to the sharpshooter behind.

nAs soon as his Master sprinted forward, Blade also did.

nThis Pugilist sacrificed his defense for offense.

nBam! Bam!

nBullets and metallic attacks from Vulture in the air dug into his body as blood flowed, but Blade ignored them all just to give himself enough leverage against Buffalo. He and his master arrived before Buffalo at the same time.

nLegolas led the way as he pounced on Buffalo who rode his beasts, this assassin’s eyes widened as the decision-making speed and execution of his targets caught him off-guard.

nBuffalo was not to be trifled with though, this man was a veteran Summoner.

n“Special Summoner Ability: Beast Integration!”

nLegolas’s eyes widened.

nUnlike what he expected, Buffalo did not fuse with any of his beasts, the 2 Buffalos, he instead fell backwards from the Buffalo that he rode on top. Seeing this, Legolas’s eyes flashed in understanding.

n‘A Grade D Summoner has 3 beasts’.

nInstantly after the realization came to him, he saw a gigantic Python come out of a hidden spot in the Buffalo. Buffalo smoothly fused with the gigantic Python.

nSeeing this, Legolas’s brain still in overdrive calculated 3 moves ahead as he transmitted other orders to his student even as he changed his plan.𝒐𝐕𝑙xt.𝗰𝚘𝑀

nBlade executed the plans without complaints as he attacked both Buffalos.

nThe gigantic beasts tried to retaliate but Blade read all their moves, with his precognition and his incredible power, Poseidon’s Fury slashed with the fury powering his master as both Buffalos were incapacitated in no time.

nInstantly after this, Blade turned to run.

nHaving kept his aim on his target since, as soon as the Buffalos were incapacitated and they staggered, a brief window opened and without hesitation, this assassin’s eyes gleamed as he pulled the trigger.

nBefore he did though, someone did before him.

nYou have activated Weapon Ability: Giant Slayer!

nWhoosh!

nHaving separated from Predator, Legolas could wield his bow and arrow.

nThe arrow launched forward with incredible venom.

nThe arrow was not aimed at the assassin though, it was rather aimed at his beast, the Mammoth. Instantly after entering the Overdrive state, Legolas made a lot of observations and one of them was on the Mammoth.

nHe observed that there was a tiny loose point on the stead holding this assassin to his Mammoth, Legolas’s arrow shot targeted this tiny loose point.

nWith impeccable accuracy, the arrow hit its target.

nInstantly, the strap of the stead that held the assassin in place to the Mammoth snapped. This assassin lost his balance which affected his aim, he already pressed the trigger though and it deviated from its intended target.

nThe closest targets to Legolas were the 2 gigantic Buffalos.

nThe bullet with all its venom slammed into an ally, one of the Buffalos.

nBOOM!

n“Roar…!!!” The Buffalo roared in pain as it was instantly crippled.

nWith the crippling of the Buffalo, even more space was opened that exposed Legolas. Instantly, 2 other assassins that dominated the skies who couldn’t act previously because they were blocked could finally act.

nWhile they acted, Legolas acted one last time.

nYou have activated Weapon Ability: Giant Slayer!

nHe raised his bow up and released the pressure.

nWhoosh!

nThe arrow travelled through the air with incredible speed even as he was attacked in return by another assassin.

nAfter just entering the Overdrive state, one of the other observations that Legolas made was the tiny mistake that Clown made in the construction of the automatic Rifle that was attached to the beak of the Crow.

nThe assassin codenamed Crow pulled the trigger but just before the bullets poured out, Legolas’s arrow penetrated through the muzzle and hit the weak point.

nBoom!

nThe pressure from the arrow instantly triggered violent reactions inside this automatic Rifle, the Rifle expanded before exploding the next moment.

nThe explosion tore the Crow’s beak apart as the poor bird cried in the sky, it’s occupant, the assassin codenamed Crow was flung away.

nThis was the most that Legolas could outperform his opponents in the Overdrive state, having disrupted 3 of the assassins, another got him.

nWhile he aimed at Crow, the assassin codenamed Owl, the 2nd in Command of the 6 Ninja Assassins aimed with her bow. Legolas did not target her before Crow since he already admitted defeat before her formidable archery.

nAs soon as the crippled Buffalo opened her view, she shot.

nWhoosh!

nLegolas could not dodge it, the arrow slammed into the left side of his chest, barely missing his heart as blood flowed, he coughed blood as the pain sensation invaded his brain like the invasion of a deadly virus.

n“Ugh…!” Legolas groaned.

nWhoosh!

nVulture flew to his back as it seemed like this assassin wanted to go after his student, Legolas was still concentrated enough to see this as he aimed with his bow and released another shot that made this assassin abandon his previous path.

nHaving covered a significant distance from the assassins already, Blade finally stopped as the realization that his master tricked him dawned on him.

nWhoosh!

nAnother arrow penetrated Legolas’s chest as he coughed more blood.

nHe turned to face his student, then he growled. “Escape!”

n“This is my last order for you, don’t disobey me now”.

n“But you said we would escape together”. Blade clenched his fists as this Pugilist shook from the extreme emotions that now bubbled in his mind.

nAfter staying with his master for months already, Blade already grew to worship Legolas’s strength, he already saw Legolas was invincible.

nThe pain made tears well in Legolas’ eyes, he gritted his teeth.

nHe glared at Blade. “Nobody is perfect, we simply strive towards it”.

n“Don’t make my last stand useless you fool, escape and tell the heroics of how I faced 6 powerful assassins alone, also tell him to check for ‘Hell'”.

nThe Vulture rapidly flew towards Blade, this was when the realization finally dawned on this Pugilist. He looked at his master one last time before he turned to escape as tears welled in his eyes, he dared not let them flow.

nFor the 2nd time in his life, Blade was too weak to do anything while somebody that was important to him was about to be captured and possibly killed.

nBy now, the intentions of the assassins to capture Legolas alive was already known. Blade took advantage of his Speed talent as he sprinted into the woods.

nThe Vulture lost track of this Pugilist.

nThen, all the assassins finally turned towards their number 1 target.

nFeeling their gazes, Legolas wiped the blood from his mouth.

n“Hehe…” He chuckled. “I’m not spent yet”.

nShing!

nHe unsheathed the Mithril Sword, Giantsbane.
