Chapter 1459 Tough Luck
Tiffany left after confirming her match to be tomorrow at this very place at 8 in the morning. After she left, a few other people began leaving as well and it seemed everything had come to a close.
Redfist walked up to Stillwater and said something before leaving the place entirely. After his departure, most of the people who were still staying behind decided to leave as well.
There were many who had perhaps thought a bloodbath would cover this entire area of the town, but the truth was no one truly wanted to begin the attack.
Ning looked at the people who remained behind and stared at Captain Yolan of the Greenskull pirates.
The blond man stared at him too and had been doing so for quite a while now.
“Do you have something to say?” Ning asked the man.
“Who are you?” the man asked.
“Ning,” Ning replied. “I thought I introduced myself already.”
“That is not what I asked,” Yolan said. “Who are you?” Ning’s eyes narrowed. “I’m not sure who you think I am, but I am not that person,” he said. “Do you assume me to be someone?”
Yolan narrowed his eyes, looking at Ning for a while. “Not just anyone can come into Rungrave and force the Stillheart pirates to work for them. I don’t know who you are, but I will assure you that you won’t always get your way in this town.”
Ning gave a smirk. “Is that so?” he asked. “I suppose I will have to watch out then.”
Yolan scoffed and walked away, saying nothing more. Everyone watched him leave.
“What’s his problem?” Jasmine asked with a curious look.
“Not sure,” Ning said. “Not that I’m eager to find out either. Anyway, looks like you guys won’t have to do much anymore. You got lucky.”
“You call this lucky?” Jasmine asked. “With everyone finding out what we are doing?”
“In a way, it’s lucky isn’t it?” Ning asked.
Jasmine sighed. “We have to beat that psychopath Tiffany and that muscle monster Redfist in a fight. I don’t know if I would call that lucky,” she said.
“Ehh… it’s lucky in a way. It would’ve been hard for you to get those items without a fight anyway,” Ning said. “Forget about that for now. Let’s go somewhere for now.”
“Sir Ning,” Stillwater quickly walked up to him, swaying promiscuously in her dress, very much self-aware of how she appeared. She walked up next to him and asked, “If you guys are going to get the treasures by yourselves, I won’t have a chance to get my coin back.”
“Maybe,” Ning said. “I mean, you still have a chance to go and steal the treasures from those who we just made a deal with. I won’t be stopping you if that is what you wish to do.”
Stillwater did not know what to say. There was no way she could get her treasures from Tiffany and Yolan, who would be on the lookout. As for Redfist, he would throw his entire fleet into attacking her, rallying enough people to kill her or at the very least remove her influence. That would be extremely detrimental.
“It won’t be easy for me though,” Stillwater said. “Everyone will be on the lookout now.”
“Tough luck,” Ning said and began walking away.
“Please,” Stillwater said. “Please have mercy on me. Give me some way to pay you back.”
“I already have,” Ning said. “It is your job to fulfill it now. Get me a treasure or forget about the coin. Lucky for you, there is still a treasure in the city no one has accounted for. Pray lady luck is on your side for this one.”
Stillwater remained still for a moment, watching Ning and the rest walk away. He had to have absolutely been trying to annoy her with the comment about lady luck, which was the power of her coin.
Stillwater felt pure hatred and murderous thoughts come up inside of her, but there was simply nothing she could do. If she tried to kill him again, she might not survive this time. After all, she had seen him survive being shot point blank.
Dejected, she left back to her hideout, letting others follow her or not, as they wished.
Ning and the others went through the pirate city, looking for whatever entertainment they could find in that place. They went outside of the city, going into the hilly woods where they saw the other side of the island that was completely uninhabited. They later returned to the hotel and both Tim and Jasmine went on to prepare for tomorrow. Tony wanted to help them by taking on one of the fights. At the very least, he wanted to fight against Tiffany as he believed his bangles would help him from all the knives she threw at him.
“Are you sure you will survive?” Jasmine asked. “Let us try some.”
She gathered up some pebbles from outside the hotel and brought them back in to test them against Tony. She had her activate his bangle and continuously threw rocks at him.
Tony couldn’t dodge and could only let the pebbles hit him as he was testing how well he could handle being attacked non-stop. Unfortunately for him, he was very bad at activating the bangle again right after it stopped working. S~aʀᴄh the vl_Fir.et website on Ggl to access chapters of nvels early and in the highest quality.
He needed at least a second internally to even process that his bangle had stopped working, and then bring up the thought to use it again. In that time, Jasmine managed to hit him with her pebbles multiple times.
“This won’t do. You will die against her,” Jasmine said. “I think it is better if we let Tim fight her or something. His box will help him better.”
“I don’t have much saved in the box,” Tim said. “If I fight her, I’ll have to use up what I have saved and then I won’t have time for when I have to fight Redfist.”
