Chapter 1587: Healing Major Sokham

A wave of whispered conversations moved around the room

The Major walked up to Ning and stood before him. He stared down at Ning who was seated with not a look of superiority, but a look of anticipation.

“Are you Sparkless, Sir?” Ning asked.

“Would I be asking you to heal me if I wasn’t?” the man asked before narrowing his eyes. “You can heal me, can’t you?”

“If you are Sparkless, there should be no problem,” Ning answered. “We can get started right away.”

He turned toward the girls and both Derria and Parima quickly stood up, making their way toward him.

The Major looked at the two and nodded. “You need their help to figure out where my organ is, right?” he asked.

Ning nodded.

“You may proceed,” he said and turned toward the Major General. “You are fine with this, Major General, aren’t you?”

The Major General sighed. “Go ahead. Let us see if this really works.”

Ning nodded toward the two girls and they quickly fished out some vials of Spark from their pockets. Ning took out out as well and waited for a bit to start.

Parima drank the vial of Spark first and connected with all there of the individuals in front of her, including the Major. The Major raised an eyebrow at first but said nothing at all.

Derria made sure that everyone was connected and drank her vial of Spark. The vial she carried that day was much smaller than the one she usually carried. After Ning had healed her, her ability had become much more powerful, which allowed her to do much with little Spark.

Ning waited for Derria to make the Divination and send him the results. He looked at the Major’s stomach while he did so and as soon as the information came to him through Parima, he knew exactly where the Major’s Spark organ was.

Ning drank his own vial and then placed his hand before the man’s stomach. He sucked in a deep breath as he poured his mind into concentrating on this one event.

When he finally concentrated to the fullest, he reached through the man’s body with his powers and touched onto the layer of Spark crystal that covered the organ inside.

And then, he converted it.

The Major showed no reaction, simply looking around at them. Parima took back the connection, which confused him even more. He looked at the relieved faces and found it hard to believe that he had been healed.

“It’s done?” he asked.

“It is done, Major,” Ning said.

The man looked down at his body. “I don’t feel anything different,” he said.

“Of course. There is no Spark in your body. You wouldn’t know the difference anyway,” Ning said. He pulled out a small vial of it and handed it to the man. “Why don’t you try?”

The Major took the vial of Spark and opened it to pick out a tiny amount of Spark. He placed it on the tip of his tongue and let his saliva get all over it. Then, he took a gulp, swallowing it all. As soon as the tiny bit of Spark entered his body, power welled up within him that he hadn’t felt in a long time. How long had it been since he had lost his Spark? How long had it been that he had been forced to live without the connection?

He had forgotten what it felt like to have Spark. The feeling of power, of vigor; was amazing. The Major finally felt as though he was living.

He stared at the vial of Spark in front of him and smiled. The vial flashed with a bright silver light for a split second before disappearing from his hands, arriving on Ning’s shoulders.

Ning caught it before it fell and looked at the Major. “Will you say that we’ve succeeded, Major?” he asked.

The Major grinned. “This is a success. No, this is more than success. This is a chance at a new life for many,” he said. “Young man, what you’ve done here today is an incredible thing. Your name shall forever be remembered in the annals of history.”

Ning smiled. They wouldn’t remember him that long at all. If they did, they would know their own history from over 200 years ago.

“Major Sokham, are you truly healed?” the Major General asked.

“You saw it yourself, Major General. I’m a Teleporter once again. My powers are back,” the Major said. “This young man is legit. He healed me.” S~aʀᴄh the Nvl(F)ire.nt website on Ggl to access chapters of nvels early and in the highest quality.

The Major General gave a genuinely surprised look. “So it is possible,” he said and looked at Ning. “I don’t know how you did it, but you’ve done something truly amazing here today. We need to get as many people healed as we can.”

He turned toward the other men. “Leave and get me a list of all the Sparkless that are currently working in the Military. This young man needs to get to all of them when he can,” he said.

Then he turned toward Ning. “For the next few weeks or even months, all you’ll be doing is healing the Sparkless. Do you agree?” he asked.

Ning thought for a bit and nodded. “I agree, Major General, but wouldn’t it be better if you had others train as well? If there are more, we can get it done quicker. Not to mention we can also have them work when I’m not available, or worse Sparkless myself.”

The Major General thought for a moment. “I’ll have others watch and learn from you. Teach them how to do what you did. That should be enough for now.”

Ning smiled. “I will do just that then,” he said.

The Major General nodded and looked at the two girls beside him. “You two will be working with him from now on as well. You will aid him until he is done helping all the Sparkless in all of the cities. Do you understand?”

Derria and Parima had no choice but to nod. They had no say in this matter and thus could only agree to the Major General’s request.
