nVampires were the superior race, whereas Ghouls were a mindless race driven solely by their desire for blood. The reason for their inferiority was that they were the result of Vampires who failed to consume blood, the source of their life and power.

nThe Ghouls were despised and looked down on by Vampires, being treated as slaves by those who tamed them as they were far from being rational.

nThe ghoul was physically weaker than a vampire, and many factors would be affected by this, such as the strength of the vampire before he became a ghoul, or their abilities.

nDespite their inferiority, Vampires avoided fighting to the death with even the weakest untamed ghouls. Why?

nXavier stood on his hands and feet, facing the three Vampires before him. He grinned widely and had bloodshot eyes. As the blood orb lingered over his shoulder, it waited to be consumed.

nXavier spat out the torn-off arm of the noble to the floor beside him.

nWatching as his severed arm oozed blood, the noble watched as the colour of the blood slowly changed from red to purple. It was clear to the three Vampires that the arm was no longer functional. It had been poisoned.

n*Growl*

nWith a growl, Xavier ripped the blade out of the noble’s severed arm with his mouth, holding it onto it’s handle with his mouth.

n*Pierce*

nXavier thrust the two swords in his arm into his chest, allowing them to sink in his purple ghoulish blood as they watched, unsure whether they should make a move.

nThe swords are consuming your blood.

nWith Xavier’s purple blood filling the sword’s pommel’s jewel, veins bulged out of his arm.

nImmediately after pulling the swords out, the wound closed up. Simultaneously, the Vampires noticed that they were covered in his purple blood.

n‘He placed blood on his blade to use it as a poison!?’ The three Vampires realised.

nWith that done, Xavier widened his grin, the vampires took a step back as Xavier stepped toward them.

nA thin stream of blood flowed from the mini blood orb into Xavier’s mouth upon taking the step. The expression on Xavier’s face grew sinister as he leaned back in delight at the taste of the blood.

n‘I… I’m scared? B-Because of a ghoul?’

n‘Me!?’ The Noble wondered to himself as he noticed that his arm was shaking.

nAs the blood ran out, the orb disappeared.

nThe moment the blood from the blood orb ran out, they all felt their hearts sink as his bloodlust fell on each of them individually. By that moment they all shared the common thought to get away.

nBut by then it was too late.

nBoth the long ivory-haired twin and her sister were suddenly dragged back by the collar by the Vampire Noble.

nImmediately after, a sword edge cut through her hair as it slashed past her neck.

nWhile he had missed the first swing, his arm blurred as he swung the second one down at her from above, while still in mid-air.

n*FWOOSH!*

nThe Noble who reacted a second earlier threw both girls backwards, allowing them to barely avoid being hit by Xavier’s swing.

nOn the other hand, the Noble who had saved them received a thin cut on his shoulder when the blade swung right past it.

nWhile still airborne before him, Xavier spun his entire body while clenching down on the sword he held in his mouth, making the vampire noble’s eyes widen.

n*SLASH!*

nA look of confusion spread across the noble’s face as blood spurted from his neck. This was his second cut.

n‘Wha-‘

nA kick struck the side of his face, sending him crashing into the tunnel’s wall to his left.

n‘His movements they’re-‘

n*CRASH!*

nUpon colliding with the wall, he coughed blood, then felt chills run down his spine as Xavier vanished from his sight in a blink.

nAs the noble looked up, his pupils dilated as he saw the countless blood orbs manifesting in the ceiling over his head. They were all connected in a stream entering Xavier’s mouth as he leapt from the ceiling straight towards him.

n*FWOOSH!*

nBy leaping forward he avoided a collision with Xavier, hearing the crash as Xavier crashed into the wall behind him.

nWhile looking back mid-leap, his eyes widened as a surge of pain swept through his body.

nIn the corner of his eyes, he saw it soaring through the air, his only remaining arm severed.

nHowever, that wasn’t what caught his attention. It was Xavier’s staring right into his own eyes from beside him that had caught his attention. He held both swords in his arms in the motion of a swing toward his head.

nWhile the swords were approaching the noble’s neck, tears filled his eyes as he stared directly into Xavier’s cold bloodshot eyes. The noble knew then and there that he had made a mistake.

n‘He’s a monster-‘

nXavier’s double swing slashed cleanly off the noble’s head, and the entire world seemed to turn upside down for him.

n*Thud* *Thud*

nThe twins watched as the noble’s head smashed into the tunnel walls after it was decapitated.

nAfter that, they watched as his body slid across the rails before crashing into the very same wall.

nAs tears streamed down their faces, they dropped to their knees.

nA blush grew on Xavier’s excited expression as the blood orb was extracted from the Vampire Noble’s body

nWhen he saw the two prey he planned to chase no longer running, his excitement grew further.

nLooking up, Xavier saw countless blood orbs still hovering above. His supply of food seemed endless.

nIn a pleasant daze from all the blood flowing into Xavier’s mouth from the countless ghoul orbs along with the Vampire Noble orb, Xavier stumbled as he approached the Vampire girls on their knees.

nThe swords stuck to his hands, linked by chunks of his flesh, as well as the sword he was holding onto tightly with his mouth made him terrifying to look at.

nThe bloodlust being released with every step made them feel like they were stuck in a void with no escape.

nIn their eyes, the Vampire twins saw anger and hatred directed at Xavier as they slowly stood up.

nFrom beneath her uniform, the short ivory haired twin pulled out five throwable knives and held them each in one hand.

nIt was the long ivory haired twin who pulled out a blade of her own. It didn’t feel unique like the Noble’s sword in Xavier’s mouth but it still seemed powerful. Once she pressed the button, spikes emerged from the crossguard and pierced her knuckles before it immediately began drawing blood.

n“We’ll… Kill you…” They declared with hatred.

nThe short ivory haired twin launched her throwable knives at Xavier’s figure. A burst of wind followed after propelling the knives at an even greater intensity.

nThe knives collided repeatedly as they were swiftly directed down the tunnel, slicing everything in their path.

nJust after launching her ability however, confusion swept over both of the twins’ faces as Xavier’s figure had vanished.

n“Where-”

nThe short ivory haired twin was interrupted as a droplet of purple ghoul’s blood landed on her hair from above.

nLooking up, her heart sank. There was a blood stream that led right behind her, over their heads.

nAfter turning quickly to see what was behind her, she noticed the reflection of her face on a blade that suddenly appeared beside her neck.

nThe short-haired twin’s head was shaved cleanly off.

nXavier’s effortless swing was parried by the long haired twin, who was a second faster than her sister.

nXavier’s second swing with his other blade however, cut right through her own arm which parried it.

n“AARGH!” She groaned out in pain before dropping to her knees, right where her sisters head had rolled.

nThe next moment, a giant hand loomed over her face, before it pinned her down to the tracks.

nImmediately, he stopped consuming the blood from the orb and leaned into her neck. Although she tried to push him off, his bloodied mouth opened wide.

nAnd bit down.

nThe twin could feel her power leaving her body as Xavier drained out her blood from her neck. The strength to try and push him off was fading.

nBlood drank directly from someone’s body tasted better than the blood orbs, Xavier could feel his strength increasing with every sip.

nHe wouldn’t stop gulping it down, he was sucking her dry. In the process of losing all its blood, her body was slowly turning pale.

nHer death was imminent.

nHowever, despite that.

nShe laughed.

n“…You… Haven’t noticed yet… Have you…?” She asked as she looked as she slowly pointed down the tunnel.

nAs he continued to drink, he looked up to see countless wide open red eyes illuminating the tunnel’s ceiling.

nNow that the Noble who was preventing any sounds from reaching the ghouls was gone, the ghouls had been awoken by the short haired twin’s earlier move, the Razor Storm.

nOne by one the ghouls began to drop down onto the train tracks.
