n331 Brink of Death Once More

nWill’s body doesn’t look that battered. At first glance, you might even think he was simply tired and asleep. However, when Blanc saw his internal organs, she thought it was a miracle he was even alive. 𝘪𝑎.𝘤𝑜𝑚

n“All his energy vessels, nerves, and organs are damaged! For this, normal healing wouldn’t be enough!”

nAlpha, who was right beside Blanc, also frowned. When she looked at Will’s body, her eyes sparkled like stars, unfocused as if gazing at far-off scenery. But a moment later, she sighed.

n“I can’t fix his state with Void-element Healing either. Since it wasn’t technically him who was injured, rewinding his time wouldn’t do a thing.”

nEveryone was exhausted from their battle against Noir. Vermeil fainted, out of energy, while Ajax was immobile, similarly running on empty. Blanc still had some to spare, but she doubted it would be enough to fix Will’s state.

n“We need to return to my chapel!”

nNoir approached, listening to their talk as he came closer. Without wasting a moment, he teleported everyone in the scene back to Goddess Blanc’s Monastery. As soon as they arrived, she ran to the emergency treatment room and grabbed a crystal-like fragment, shattering it between her fingers.

n“…!”

nA wave of energy escaped but was quickly absorbed into her body. A few seconds later, her energy level increased. It wasn’t to the level of fully restoring it, but at least she should now have enough to heal Will.

n“Miss Alpha, please take care of the rest. I don’t think I could leave Will until he’s fully healed!”

nHis breathing was getting lighter and lighter, as if he would stop breathing altogether at any second. Alpha, of course, didn’t have any problems with Blanc’s request and silently gathered everyone else and used her Void Powers to bring them back to full health.

nAlthough she looked like she wasn’t doing much during the fight against Noir, she was actually the greatest contributor then, apart from Will. Most of her energy was used to avoid futures where they would lose, which numbered as many as the grains of sand on a beach.

nHer energy was already reaching its limits after healing everyone else, so she decided to return to Zeshion’s God Territory to rest.

nAjax, still able to move, placed Vermeil on a sickbed, while Zehsion did the same with Zeta. He wished he could call on Eta to support Blanc’s endeavor, but right at the moment, she was acting as the cornerstone of the defense lines up north of the kingdom. She couldn’t waste a single second away from there.

nZeshion glanced at Will, who was covered by several layers of light, in an attempt to restore him to full health. Blanc’s face was frowning, covered in sweat, even though it had only been a few minutes into the treatment. Her expression was a testament to just how severe Will’s state was.

n‘… My healing skills aren’t working much on him.’

nBlanc thought as she observed the slow recovery that she was achieving. By the looks of it, she would need a couple of days of endless healing before Will could recover from the brink of death and another week before he could fully recover. Blanc’s energy wouldn’t last that long.

n“Goddess Blanc, let me help!”

nAt that moment, Ember appeared, her face still pale.

nLooking at the bottle of energy recovery potion by her feet, she must’ve just woken up and quickly came to Will’s side, worried about him. The other girls were also worried, but thinking that their presence would distract Goddess Blanc, they decided to simply stare into the room from the door.

n“Are you sure you can handle it? Anyway, try to take charge of restoring his energy circuits. That much should be easy for you.”

nBlanc was thankful for the help but was also worried at the same time. Will’s current state was so sensitive that the slightest delay or mistake could spell the difference between life and death.

nRather than responding, Ember simply started to do her part, using all of her clones that were shrunk to their smallest size and entering Will’s body through his pores. Through the clones, Ember started to fix the energy pathways as instructed.

n“…!”

nBlanc was surprised upon seeing Ember’s “weird” healing method. Still, from how she could see the energy circuit inside his body recovering at a rapid pace, she decided to trust Ember.

nThe entire operation lasted for several hours. About 12 hours later, Ember finally crashed down, her energy all spent. Still, before she fainted, she managed to completely recover Will’s energy circuit, making Blanc’s job a lot easier.

nWith his circuits fixed, the effectiveness of her further healing was no longer wasted. About three more hours later, Will was already off his deathbed!

n“… That took a while.”

nBlanc sighed, looking at Will’s body. His breathing returned to normal, but his pulse was still a little bit in disarray. After all, he wasn’t completely healed just yet.

nBlanc went out to get an energy potion, restoring her lost energy. Compared to when she was fighting a pair of god-level demons, fixing up Will’s body was a lot more taxing, both physically and mentally.

nAfter a while, she then returned to Will’s side and continued the same process. Blanc’s face was resolute, as if betting her title as the Support God on the line just to restore Will’s health.

nThree days later, that was when Blanc finally finished healing him. As soon as she finished, Blanc fainted, all her mental and physical resources completely spent.

nEmber, who was supporting her from the side and providing support when she could, gently carried her to a vacant bed and let her rest. As soon as she did, she turned to her master, Will, with a rush of myriads of emotions flashing through her expression.

n“… Master.”

nCaressing his face and realizing that he was completely healed, Ember finally felt relief. Turning to the door, where the others were watching for the entire duration without taking a step away, Ember’s smile widened.

nWalking to her lovely comrades, Ember went and relayed the good news.
