nAs expected, convincing the heads wasn’t an easy task. The meeting started around the middle of the afternoon, and when it ended, the sun was already about to rise from the horizon.
nI literally had to convince them of my ideals for an entire night!
nStill, probably thanks to my actual experience living in a democratic country before, most of them were already convinced. Empty promises were useless anyway, so in return for taking away their noble ranks, I promised to give them government posts that would be generated.
nStill, there were roughly 20% of them who still didn’t want to support my ideals. I’ve already gotten the majority’s support anyway, so let’s just say their thoughts are now overruled.
nAs soon as the meeting ended, the first thing I did was command everyone to fully support my campaign. We only have a month, after all, so we need to make use of time efficiently.
nDue to that, I’m currently out of the Seimei Clan’s grounds, taking a walk around the town. While walking, the girls were busy putting up posters all over the place. It wasn’t only asking for their support for me but also explaining the current situation of the entire kingdom.
n“And we also added some minor defamation of the other two candidates.”
nThe rules didn’t forbid “telling the truth” after all, and “truth” is a subjective thing.
nFor sure, by the end of this day, a large number of common people would be supporting me. Ying Yue, supposedly another candidate for kingship, was busy supporting my campaign instead.
nWith her in the lead, making rounds on the Luo side was a breeze.
nThe campaign was going well, at least from what I saw. We managed to bag around 70% of the citizens from the two towns easily. Still, that’s only the beginning, as there are literally hundreds of towns all over the kingdom.
nThe Seimei rule the north, while the Luo rule the east, which means I could already monopolize almost half of the votes from the kingdom. Max, of the Virgil territory, is to the west. I’m not sure how he’d be passing his voters to me, but I can only trust in him regarding that.
nThe main problems would be in the south, led by the militaristic Karran, the territory of the Helios family, and in the center, surrounding the capital, which is controlled by the Quartz family.
nI couldn’t deny how charismatic the two of them were, given that they were both the heads of ancient clans. For sure, it would be hard to snatch any voters from their territories.
n“So rather than going around poaching, I’ll just strengthen my current voter base!”
nThe first one that I wanted to solidify was definitely the support of the succubus girls. However, it seems like they don’t really need my “convincing” anyway. Instead, I decided to start giving prizes to those who wanted to return to their human appearance.
nThe following day, in the middle of the Seimei’s training grounds, roughly 5,000 succubus girls gathered.
n“I… I’m human again!”
n“My horns and wings are gone!”
n“I don’t know why my husband was against it before, but now that I’m human again, I feel better!”
nEach one of them who finished getting their “appearance” returned to normal was thankful. I had no time to cater to their thanks, though, as I needed to keep the line moving. I spent roughly 15 seconds healing one of them, two at a time.
nSince I became a lot more powerful compared to when I was healing the kids back with Vendetta, the speed I could tinker with their appearance—their souls—was capped out.
nStill, as expected, the changes were limited to their appearance only. The effect of being under a Servant Contract with me didn’t change, nor did the power they gained from their previous transformation vanish. Right now, they’re like succubuses who have lost their defining features.
nTo the man who didn’t want his wife to return to her original appearance… I salute your way of life, comrade. Well, too bad for him, though.
nAnyway, I spent almost the entire day fixing everyone who wanted to get fixed. During that time, the Seimei and Luo families were busy spreading my name in the towns under their control.
nIt was only the second day, but I had already reached out to all the towns under our control! What an efficient bunch!
nAnyway, tired from my actions during the day, I immediately slept. When I woke up, it was time for me to move again.
nThis time, I wanted to visit somewhere nearby. With Igni in tow, we headed to the downtown of the Seimei Clan grounds. There, a small settlement was created where familiar figures were staying.
n“Father!”
nIgni’s expression immediately brightened as she raised her voice. The other party was a dragonman with pronounced blue scales. He turned around, looked over at us, and smiled.
n“Igni, my daughter, it’s been a while.”
nIgni ran straight for him, embracing him tight. I simply watched over the father-daughter reunion but felt slightly jealous of him. Igni doesn’t go hugging me like that, after all.
n“It’s been about a month, so it was really quite a while.”
n“Wait, a month?” .
nWhen I heard Igni’s words, I was stumped.
n“You mean, you already visited them last month?”
n“Yes… I mean, they’re nearby, so I visit as much as I can, whenever I’m available.”
nI was speechless. Of course, unless she was some heartless child who didn’t want to see her parents again, she would be visiting them regularly. I feel embarrassed about myself, thinking that Igni hadn’t seen them since the time we saved them from the demon tamers. 𝘪𝘳.𝒸𝑜𝑚
n“If it isn’t Will.”
nSuddenly, another voice echoed from a little further into the settlement. When I turned to the source, I saw a female dragon with a spiral horn, the one that had served as Max’s secretary before, Igni’s mother, Prima.
n“What now? Don’t tell me you weren’t satisfied with only my daughter and wanted to take me too. Unfortunately, I have a husband I love from the bottom of my heart.”
n“… What?”
nWas her personality like this before? Wasn’t she like a prim and proper secretary? The difference between her work mode and her casual mode is baffling!
