nThe emergence of Count Dracula, even just his figure flashing by, was more than enough to quicken everyone’s breathing.
nEvery step he took felt as if he were stomping on the hearts of everyone present, causing their hearts to skip a beat. The formless, invisible intimidation in the air was very real.
nThe Count scanned the place around and found many fighters hiding in the dark.
nWhile all of them were very far away, there was still no fooling his perception.
nBut then again, none of that mattered to him. One was even able to see a cold smirk on his face.
nHe did not even mind the presence of the military forces around.
nHe intended to make it clear that to the world that he was truly invincible, and he wanted to strike fear into the hearts of the Huaxian cultivators so badly that none would dare to stand in his way, or in the way of the Vampiric Empire.
nThe might of the Vampiric Empire and Count Dracula in the present day was about to be known to the world, beginning with the WuTang Clan’s demise.
nBefore he was done straightening his thoughts, yet another cold voice was heard: “You’re finally here, Dracula. I’ve been waiting for a long time.”
nThat voice pulled the Count from his thoughts back to reality. He lifted his head and saw a young man who looked like he was in his late teens. He was sitting on a grand chair with his legs crossed, wearing a smirk on his face.
n“Lu Xuan.”
nThe Count’s expression changed drastically, and his pupils contracted somewhat.
nHe knew the identity of the man in front of him. He was none other than the one he had been looking for all this while.
nWhile the Count had been looking for trouble with the WuTang Clan through his time in Huaxia, his true target had actually been Lu Xuan.
nHe simply took the act of eliminating the WuTang Clan as a side job.
nHe had only gone back to hit the WuTang Clan again because he was unable to locate Lu Xuan, and defenses at the Yunxuan Villa was simply too difficult for him to break through.
n“What’s so weird about this? Aren’t you to kill me, by the way? Aren’t you happy to see me right here?” Lu Xuan asked plainly.
nThe glint in Lu Xuan’s eyes was incredibly threatening. His gaze felt like two blades piercing right into the Count’s eyes.
nIt was a form of psychic attack.
nThe Count was no stranger to such attacks. A glint of blood was seen in his eyes as well, clashing hard with that formidable gaze emanating from Lu Xuan’s eyes.
nThe crowd was able to see that frightening waves raged at the space between the two.
n“Lu Xuan? What’s he doing here?”
nMany, like the Count, were confused as to what was happening. None of them expected to see Lu Xuan, who was nowhere to be found the whole time.
nEveryone, however, knew very well that the Count was actually in Huaxia specifically to take out Lu Xuan.
nBut given that Lu Xuan continued not to show, and the Count’s act of beating down the WuTang Clan, everyone almost forgot what the Count was in Huaxia for.
nLu Xuan’s appearance jolted their memories right away.
nLu Xuan’s intentions were also laid bare for all to see, and everyone knew that it probably had to do with the Count throwing his weight around in such a blatant manner this whole time.
nGiven that they all knew that the Count was there for Lu Xuan, there was simply no way that Lu Xuan would have been oblivious to it.
n“Lu Xuan might stand a chance at taking out Count Dracula.”
nSome people whispered amongst themselves, feeling uncertain. They all knew that the man who killed Adam and Saint Peter was Lu Xuan.
nEveryone acknowledged the fact that Lu Xuan’s powers were far above that of the usual Invincible Vajras and that he was far more powerful than the Dragon.
nAt present, everyone was almost certain that he was the number one in the whole world.
nLu Xuan might actually stand a chance at fighting Count Dracula.
nSuch was the thought shared by all in the crowd.
nThey deemed it near impossible for him to beat the Count nonetheless.
nThey knew that that legendary figure who was alive nearly a century ago had not been able to do so. Thus, the chances of someone capable of beating the Count now were even more miniscule.
nBeing able to go stand toe-to-toe against the Count and not be killed immediately was already considered a monumental feat. No one would expect more from Lu Xuan.
nNonetheless, that was still more than enough to boost the morale of the Huaxian world of cultivators. The cultivation heritages of Huaxia were still rich and vast, and there were actually a lot of measures that could have been taken. So long as Lu Xuan proved tough enough to handle such measures, everyone deemed that he might stand a chance at repelling the Count.
nThat alone would have sufficed.
n“But seeing how he dared to show up like this, I think he most probably knows what he’s doing. He’s not the kind who’d rush blindly into anything, after all.”
nThere were some who had different thoughts; they deemed that Lu Xuan knew what he was doing, given that he dared to show up personally.
nLu Xuan rose from the chair slowly and said, “It really took you long enough to show up, and man, I must say that you’ve been really cautious. If it hadn’t been for the news of Jingyunzi having passed, you probably wouldn’t have shown up, I reckon.”
nLu Xuan’s gaze remained as bright as a torch, making the Count really uncomfortable. However, the Count did not retort, as he knew that there was no point in bickering about those things.
nHowever, his pupils contacted immediately when he saw Jingyunzi walking out, not far away from behind Lu Xuan.
nJingyunzi was still alive!
nThis is a setup!
nHe realized immediately that Jingyunzi was still alive and that the news about him having passed had been but a trap to lure him out.
nEveryone else watched Jingyunzi, their jaws gaping. It was clear that his being alive was extremely shocking to all of them.
nIt was indeed a setup.
nBut then again, everyone wondered just what it was that encouraged Lu Xuan and Jingyunzi enough to lay down such a trap to lure the Count out.
n“Does Jingyunzi have some kind of trump card up his sleeve? The True Force Sword can be manipulated for the time being, so long as Jingyunzi is still alive. Even if they are to be unable to beat the Count, they can at least buy themselves time,” someone in the crowd said.
nThe Count backed away, intending to run. Despite the immense confidence he had, he was very cautious. He knew that he was in enemy territory at the moment, and if the fight were to end up with both parties losing, all of the other Huaxian cultivators would probably pounce on him like a shark that smelled blood.
nHe might actually die in Huaxia if that were to happen.
nThat was never his intention.
nHowever, he quickly stopped after backing one step away.
nHe was perceptive enough to sense that he had been locked onto by Lu Xuan’s aura.
nSo long as Lu Xuan’s aura remained locked onto him, there was simply no way he could flee.
n“Dracula, they say that you’re one of the three elders of the Vampiric Empire and also the most renowned of the three. I wonder how much power you have compared to when you were at your peak,” Lu Xuan said coldly.
n“It was a mistake for you to come to Huaxia, and you’re not going anywhere today.”
nLu Xuan flashed at that moment. He blitzed through the steps before him in an instant, appearing not far away from the Count.
n“Golden Dragon Claws!” Lu Xuan shouted as he punched.
nBoom!
nHis forceful punch turned into a golden dragon claw that banged hard on the Count.
n
