Chapter 394 - She Is A Bold One, Isn't She?

n

n

nTaylor's gaze was on the man who had appeared out of nowhere and just as quickly as he had arrived, he left soon after.

nYvonne too had her eyes fixed on the man who though had played a minor role, left a lasting impression on her thanks to his distinctive eye color.

n

"If you are not purchasing anything then we shall leave.

" The young boy announced as he shot a glance at the daughter of the Marquess family.

nEnough passersby had noticed the commotion and he did not wish to remain here any longer.

nAt first, Elna was happy with the attention as it meant that she could prove that she was right but now, she was irked to see those numerous eyes watching her.

n

"I do not lack jewels.

" She declared and nodded at the young master in acceptance of his suggestion.

nThe little girl who was focused on looking for the man who had disappeared looked up when she heard this.

n'So why'd you drag us here if you had no intention of buying anything?' She scoffed for wasting their time.

nIt was close to three in the afternoon and the sun's rays were still scorching them even when the Winters were nearby.

nThey had to stand here in the heat and hear her blabber about the stone for long when she had no intention of purchasing them.

nThis made Yvonne wish to roll her eyes but she refrained.

nThough the same could not be said for the manager and Taylor who expressed their displeasure with a clear frown on their faces.

nTaylor then escorted the girls back to their tent where they found the other group of children already waiting inside for them.

n'How big was this place?' Yvonne wondered as they had never run into them while strolling around.

nThe ladies then gathered their children and decided that it was time for them to head back to their respective estates.

nThe reason why these ladies did not even have to move out of their tent to visit the stalls was that their host today was the prestigious Duchess Tanner.

nWith her presence, the top management of Ocular sent a portfolio of their best items to this tent where each lady chose what they wished to purchase.

nRaylene too selected a few pieces of jewelry which caught her eye and was happy that they would soon be delivered to their Mansion.

nNow, the large group of women and children walked back towards the same path through which they had entered this ground.

nJust as they were about to leave the grounds, the little girl turned around and looked in a certain direction.

n'Thought so.' She narrowed her eyes when she saw a man standing before a tent, now waving at her.

nYvonne had felt a gaze on her back and when she turned around, she found that it was the same man she had met at the jewels stall.

nHis face was uncovered now but due to the distance, she could only make out his hair color and his eyes which stood out.

n'Black hair and white eyes.' She noted, truly an unusual sight around these parts of the Kingdom.

nShe did not wave back but turned around and stepped away as it was time to get back home.

n___

nAt a distance, Sevenz let out a chuckle when he saw that his wave was ignored by that little girl.

n

"She is a bold one, isn't she?

" He muttered while looking to his right from the corner of his eye.

nStanding there, hiding behind the entrance of the tent was the same young prince.

nA few seconds earlier, it was this same prince who had been staring at the little girl's back while all Sevenz did was stand beside him to watch the show.

nHowever, when they noticed her action of turning around, Draco leaped to the side to hide his presence, stunning Sevenz in the process.

nThus, Yvonne caught sight of the robed man but failed to see the one whose gaze she had felt earlier.

n

"She made the Royal Prince leap in surprise.

" Sevenz snickered while glancing at his acquaintance who was back on the couch now.

nDraco harrumphed at his friend's taunting words but chose to ignore them.

n

"I do not have time to waste. Bring out your treasures.

" He ordered while shooting him a threatening glare.

n___

nBefore leaving, Yvonne went to wish everyone goodbye.

nElna nodded her head with poise and an elegant smile graced her face as though they had not been in a confrontation today.

nOn the other hand, Aleena who had stayed far away from her all day scoffed and turned her face away when Yvonne went to greet her.

nLooking at the difference in her interaction with these two girls, there was something that Yvonne was sure about.

n'I like Aleena better.' She declared that at least this girl was open in expressing her dislike towards her and not pretending to be friendly before others while secretly bearing ill will.

nMarchioness Kiron shook her head at her child but seeing Yvonne smile at Aleena, she felt at ease that they had not saddened that little girl.

nEach lady along with their younger ones bid goodbye to the others as they got on their carriages and soon, five carriages moved towards the heart of the Capital city, Amarthea.

nAfter this, it did not take long for the carriage with the little girl and her mother to reach their home.

nAs the carriage slowed down, the door opened and Raylene smiled when it was not the maid but her husband who stood before her.

nEarl Rutherford St. Claire smiled at his wife who had been away since this afternoon only to return in the evening.

n

"Did you have fun?

" He inquired while hugging her waist and helping her get off the coach.

nOnce her feet were steady on the ground, he then went back to get his child who was still seated in the carriage.

nThe doting father's heart melted when he saw the sight of his precious child rubbing her drowsy eyes as she hugged a soft doll in her arms.

n'Just like Vonna's eyes.' He admired the new item he had seen and surmised that this was something she had purchased at Ocular.

nAs a businessman, he knew what Ocular was and had visited them as a customer but never had any business transactions with them before.

nNow as he gazed at his child holding something from Ocular, he felt a need to establish some sort of agreement with them.

n'Get more such dolls for Vonna!' He decided as he leaned forward and carried the sleepy little girl in his arms.

nThe little girl had been extremely lazy this entire week as there were no classes on account of the festival week.

nAll she did each day was laze around and accompany her mother for tea, spend time with Demon, and practice sword training with Howard.

nToday, she had broken her routine to spend the afternoon outside with her mother which was now taking its toll on her and weighing her eyelids down with sleep.

nNot wishing to disturb her, the father carried her in his arms while keeping her and the doll secure then holding his wife's shoulders he led them inside.

n

"How's Howie?

" Raylene whispered as they walked towards Yvonne's bedroom.

nRutherford nodded but did not answer to avoid waking his child up.

nTheir son was still in the office where he was revising everything that he would need for tomorrow one last time before he could get back and rest in his room.

nWhen they reached her bedroom, Mrs. Jacinth was waiting for them and hurried to accept the dozing child from her Master.

nJust as Rutherford had handed over his precious child to the maid, his eyes fell on the doll and smiled but froze when he saw another piece of silk cloth that was also being held tight in her hands.

n'That looks like…' He frowned at the bright red emblem embroidered on it as the maid turned around and entered the room, disappearing from his sight.

nRaylene was confused when she saw that he wasn't moving and nudged him to gain his attention.

n

"Was that Taylor boy also present today?

" Rutherford inquired after coming back to his senses.

nWatching his wife avert her eyes, he felt a bad premonition and decided to gain proper answers from her in their bedroom.

nThus, while Yvonne was changed into clean clothes and put to bed for a short nap, her mother was undergoing interrogation about the events that had taken place today.

n
