Chapter 46 - Nemesis of the Sun
n
n
n…
n-What is this crap?!
nKatla disappeared, leaving only Casita’s needle in the center. Hundreds of angels gasped in shock.
n-How could one human do such a thing!
nA city had disappeared, but it was still expected. It was the result of Dohyuk utilizing his Nature to the finest, but the city was owned by a god. In some sense, the city itself was also a Godly Item on its own. These angels were shocked because Dohyuk was allowed to own the city in the first place, and this was their first time witnessing such a thing after the countless trials they had held.
n-It’ll be hard for Aruga to get the city back now.
n-Isn’t he going to complain?
n-He will probably.
nIt wasn’t only Aruga. This was the earliest stage of the trial. That’s why only Aruga’s city had been implemented. As time passed by, more cities and landscapes from different worlds would appear. Of course, it worked well for those gods too since they had the chance to gain new followers, and there were no cases where the gods were at a disadvantage.
nUntil now.
n-….
nThe angels looked above to the three four-winged angels. They acted with direct orders from the ‘Lord God’. As they glanced above, they saw.
n-….What?
nThe three four-winged angels were looking above, just like when they were listening to orders from Casita. Yet their usual emotionless expressions had changed into shock.
n-What are they hearing?
nThe angels then became silent. Whatever order those three angels were hearing was going to be their job soon.
n-We’re f*cked.
nDohyuk mumbled, “Status.”
n<>
nIt was a good item. It had a good defense rating and if the attack wasn’t strong enough to kill the user, it reflected half the damage back at the attacker.
n‘If I can defend Yoo Dohyuk just once with this…!’
nThis would surely bring courage back to the people. But Dohyuk thought, ‘How strong would he be?’
n‘Or how strong is that shield?’ Dohyuk did not know, so he feared it. Either way, he had no choice but to strike.
nCutting Kick
n-Clean Cut(Lv.7)
n-Challenger’s Bet
nHis feet hit the shield, and Dohyuk landed. From behind, Chansub, along with his shield, was sliced horizontally into two.
n-Faith: 34559
n“AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”
n“M-MONSTER!!!!”
nPeople panicked instantly.
n“I’M OUT!!!”
n“T..this is crazy!”
n“I-I knew we can’t defeat the Great Emperor…!”
nSomething began popping up from the ground; it was a stone made out of various colors of light. It was Heeyun who was putting her energy into the ground to attack. It was a wide-ranged attack that did no critical damage. But it was enough to work as crowd control.
n“DAAMMMMMITTT!!!”
n“RUN!!!”
nPeople panicked and ran off in all directions. Sukwon’s voice did not work anymore. The fear-stricken people could not listen to anything.
n“Dammit. KILL HIM!”
nSukwon and the leaders shouted, and some of the elite members came to fight Dohyuk. As Dohyuk sliced one easily and took care of the other two, he felt pain in his waist. He couldn’t move.
n“I…I did it!”
nThe man had a spear in his hand.
n“I DID IT! I DID IT!”
nPoisoned Blade
nIt was the man’s Nature. Whoever the man cut with a blade would be paralyzed instantly until the blade was taken out. The man then took out a dagger.
n“I-I’m not the strongest!”
nHe stabbed toward Dohyuk’s neck, but it was blocked.
nDohyuk’s hand grabbed the dagger.
n“H-How…”
n“…”
n<
n“Digest.”
nDohyuk digested the dagger to heal his palm. Dohyuk did not know how to use the ‘faith’, but he knew one way to use it, and that was the symbol of his godliness.
n<
n“Digest.”
nThe spear then disappeared, healing all of Dohyuk’s wounds that had racked up until now. When Dohyuk kicked the man away, he felt another pain coming from his thigh.
n<
nThere was a long harpoon connected to a chain.
n<
n“Ugh!”
nMore projectiles then penetrated Dohyuk. A total of 10 of them pierced his legs, but that was it. His ‘Stamina’ didn’t allow harpoon to deeply penetrate his body. It hindered his movement a little, but it was easy to just digest it all.
n“Those fools were to buy time anyway!” Sukwon shouted, “You’re done for, you bastard!”
nHe was pulling on the harpoon.
n“The light absorption. It’s not from you, is it?”
n“…!”
nDohyun then realized that Aruga’s avatar was behind Sukwon. With Bermurans that joined the team, Aruga created the avatar. However, it was much smaller than what he fought in Katla. It was small enough to disappear after blasting off a few of rays of light.
n“Digest. D…”
nDohyuk quickly began digesting all the harpoons. The harpoons weren’t fired to injure him. This was the studied method to fight against the Great Emperor, as he needed one hand on each piece of equipment to digest it. It was enough to buy time.
n“Digest!”
nHis leg began to move again, but Dohyuk knew that Aruga’s was decreasing in size as it was focusing all the energy in one shot to blast Dohyuk.
n‘I won’t be able to dodge that.’
nDohyuk then looked up. As he moved, he felt something.
n-Faith: 33251
nHe didn’t know why, but just like when he created the city after receiving the power from Casita, Aruga’s body disappeared and the sun shined brightly. Dohyuk’s leg was also freed. He could have dodged, but he jumped against the incoming light ray.
n<< From: Genesis : The 1st Chapter>>
n….So the God of the Sun came down upon his hideous body and attacked our Great God with its tainted sunlight. Our god then…
nIt was the strongest ray of light he had seen until now. Dohyuk swung his leg to kick. He couldn’t react to the speed of light, so he kicked first. Of course, he wasn’t going to ‘cut’ the light.
n…had sliced the imbecile’s head and its power into two.
nThe legend was the origin of the Divine Power. What was written affected what the god could do. Dohyuk’s fight against Aruga in Katla had become a record which granted him his 2nd Divine Power.
n<
nThe wrath of Aruga came down to burn Dohyuk. But as it touched his feet-
n<
nEveryone witnessed the ray of light being sliced into two.
n“….”
nWhen it was done, Dohyuk jumped down.
n-Faith ….
nHe had gained more faith than the amount he had just spent.
nAs he panted, Dohyuk- no, the God of Unbreakable, spoke.
n
