nYuanyuan hastily stood up and smiled at Su Tang. “Healer, the chief is here.”

nSu Tang looked sideways at the cave entrance.

nShe wanted to see what a tribe chief from primeval times looked like.

nShe was dumbstruck.

nThe tiger was the chief.

nThe tiger sure was good-looking. His topless torso looked strong, his muscles were well-defined, and he had short, smooth silver hair. Su Tang blushed a little as she looked at him.

nSu Tang veered her eyes away. To disguise her uneasiness, she took a big bite of roast meat!

nHer cheeks were bulging as they moved, and she looked like a squirrel that was sneaking a snack.

nCain strode over with his long slender legs and arrived in front of the stone bed in a few steps.

nHis eyes could not help becoming softer when he saw Su Tang kneeling on the stone bed doing her utmost to eat.

nHis eyes could not help becoming softer when he saw Su Tang kneeling on the stone bed doing her utmost to eat.

nYuanyuan promptly betrayed Su Tang. “Chief, the healer understands our language and can communicate with us. Her name is Su Tang. Isn’t it a pretty name?”

nSu Tang swallowed the meat and stared at Yuanyuan.

nWas she not her friend? How could a friend betray her so easily?

nSadly, Yuanyuan did not understand what Su Tang was trying to convey. Yuanyuan merely looked back at her innocently.

n“Cough, cough…”

nSu Tang lost her breath and ended up choking on the meat!

nCain sat down next to Su Tang and patted her back gently as he told Yuanyuan, “Fetch some water!”

nYuanyuan nodded and ran out of the cave quickly.

nWhen Su Tang saw Yuanyuan leaving so hastily, she could not help choking even harder!

nShe kept coughing until tears almost came out of her eyes before she felt better.

n“Feel better?”

nA deep husky voice rang overhead.

nSu Tang finally realized that she had unknowingly leaned into Cain’s arms.

nIn an instant, her face flushed crimson!

nShe hurriedly left his embrace and explained as she stammered, “I… I didn’t mean it… I’m sorry…”

nCain’s lips curved upwards slightly, and his eyes looked gentle. “I’m Cain. What’s your name?”

nSu Tang felt as though her face was burning. She stumbled on her words as she replied, “I am Su… Su Tang…”

nCain nodded. “Su Tang. Your name sounds lovely!”

nSu Tang went quiet.

n“You can call me Cain, and I’ll call you Su!”

nWhy did he come off sounding a little like a domineering CEO?

n“Su, why did you go to the Dark Forest on your own? Where is your tribe?”

nSu Tang lowered her head dejectedly and muttered, “I… I was lost. My tribe is somewhere very far away, so it’s impossible to go back now.”

nA thought ran through Cain’s head when he saw how sad she was.

nSince it was impossible for her to return to her tribe, then he could openly get her to stay here!

nCain reached his hand out to stroke Su Tang on top of her head as he comforted her, “From now on, Winged Tiger Tribe is your home. I will always protect you and won’t let you get lost.”

nHe paused before he continued, “Even if you get lost, there’s nothing to be afraid of. I will find you before you know it. I swear on the Beast God that I will definitely find you!”

nA white light flashed over Cain’s head.

nSu Tang was startled. “What was that?”

n“It happens when you make a binding pact with the Beast God. Shouldn’t you know this already?”

nSu Tang’s eyes opened wide. She did not know what to say to the chief after he said such things. If he were not as good-looking, she would have assumed he was a hooligan and beat him up!

n“What happens when you break your promise?”

n
